Located in the beautiful Adirondacks, From the Forest Chainsaw Carving is a family-owned business operating in Barneveld, NY. Since opening, we've treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Providing one-on-one consultations for every custom piece. Other companies may offer similar services, but our services come with the focus and personal touch to meet your needs.
We specialize in providing an outlet for local artists to display their works, offering a variety of all handmade American gifts created by local artists and craftsmen. Currently, our inventory includes chainsaw carvings, rustic furniture, flint knapped knives, jewelry, pyrography, basket weaving, paintings, photography, burl bowls...and much more to come.

Jon is a professional chainsaw carver and picked up a chainsaw for the first time in 2008. Throughout the years he has met a number of fellow artists, and in 2012 decided to put together From the Forest.
Erin was born and raised in the Adirondacks, and grew up with strong sense for art throughout her life. She is a very important part, adding the woman's touch to From the Forest.

Mike is here carving a pumpkin for a fund raiser for the Mohawk N.Y. boy scout troop. Mike is Jon and Erin's business partner. As well, Jon's apprentice. Mike brings a unique skill set that combines artistic talent with technical skills.
